PHOTOVOLTAIC INSTALLATION
Morera Pell has decided to invest in a photovoltaic installation of around 350 solar panels and total power of 100 kW .
Morera Pell develops his tanning activity in "Adoberia Sabater" or "Catedral dels Blanquers", a modernist building protected as being of cultural interest. The building was the first major tanning industry in the city.
Company with a long tradition in the tanning sector, located in Igualada (Barcelona).
Morera Pell SL was founded as a Mercantil company in 1995 for the purposes of continuing with family tradition that began in 1920. At that time, leather was made for shoe sole until, from the 60s, it was opted for the tanning of split, first following the line of sole items; and subsequently for the manufacture of leather goods, footwear and belts.
Currently, we are specialized in the manufacture of split with different finishing lines for belts and leather goods.

The Igualada water treatment plant, which currently purifies the wastewater of 28 tanning companies, has the mission of minimizing waste, reducing environmental costs and providing knowledge of water treatment to the entire Cluster.
In the last 20 years, 50% of the water consumption and 50% of the pollutant load have been reduced thanks to the application of the best available techniques, the biological purification of wastewater and the minimization and reuse of waste.
